After an unfortunate accident that left me in the position of buying another vehicle, I started on the hunt for a classic Defender 110. Countless hours were spent going back and forth, painstakingly analysing sales listings to find the 'perfect' car.

Early on, I’d saved a 2015 Defender 110 that caught my eye – until I noticed it was in Perth and promptly dismissed it given I'm based in Queensland. But after four unsuccessful months of searching, it didn't seem so far-fetched anymore and I requested some more information.

In the back of my mind, I thought - when else was I going to have such a perfect opportunity to do a one-way road trip across Australia? Well, the maiden voyage was a casual 10,000km from Steep Point to Cape Byron before heading home, and it was certainly a trip to remember.
